Spring Has Sprung

After a long damp winter in England the weather is finally improving! Daffodils are up and tulips are on the way. We've even had quite a bit of sunshine in the last week. The changing weather and seasons go along with several other changes in our lives.
First, Arie is 10 months old. My how time flies. He spends most of his waking time wanting to walk around while holding onto someone's hands. He can't quite do it by himself yet so our backs are sore from constantly bending over walking with him. He loves to read books. We have a stack of books dowstairs and a shelf of books upstairs for him and he likes to walk over to the books, sit down, grab a book and babble loudly/yell until someone obliges and reads it to him. He has two teeth (the bottom front two) but no others have made an appearance yet. He just had another ear infection which postponed our Easter trip we were going to take. He's better now though--thank God for antibiotics!!
Second, I extended my contract here in Cambridge. I was supposed to finish up on December 19, 2010 but because of my maternity leave they extended my contract until June 2011. We're kind of hoping the next step in our lives happens a bit before that but it looks like we'll be surviving another dreary English winter here.
We were supposed to visit Dover and Canterbury since we had a 4 day weekend for Easter but Arie had a fever of 102 for 3 days in a row so instead of traveling we sat in the dr. office on the Saturday before Easter. Not much else to report right now. I've got a bit of a travel bug so we're looking to stretch our travel legs and see how Arie does with it. We'll see where in the world we end up!

Daffodils!
