We still had our house guests for the past while, so we've been a bit more busy than normal doing touristy things around Cambridge. This past weekend we went to the city of Ely where there is a large cathedral. The cathedral was built by William the Conqueror. It was recently used as the site of a few movies (The other Bolyn Girl, Elizabeth: The Golden Age). We walked around the cathedral and we also went to a stained glass museum they had.
There is a tea shop in Ely that has been voted the best tea shop in England by the Tea Board (yeah, there really is a Tea Board here) so we decided to give it a try. It was in a very nice location down by the river. And I must say, my tea was really good. Though I haven't really advanced my tea palette beyond like it/don't like it yet.

On Monday we technically had the day off, though I ended up at work for 5 hours. After I got home we took Sue and Mary to the American Military Cemetery and then we went out to eat at the Eagle, a pub where the american pilots have their squadrons all written on the ceiling from right before they would deploy. It's also where Watson and Crick figured out the double helix structure of DNA. It's a nice pub, but pretty much mostly Americans go there. It's kind of funny to hear everyone around have an American accent.
We've been working hard on building a rabbit enclosure and pretty much have it done so we should have our buns in no time. Ryan designed a whole enclosure. We scavenged wood from skips around here and he cut them all to size. We have a big vat of paint that we got free from someone for a small project when we moved here, so we painted all the wood white and you can hardly tell it came from the trash. :-) We did buy a hutch new though. And I planted grass in our little patch of dirt in the garden. Those who know how much I like gardening know that this is one of my most serious endeavors to grow something. We'll see if I can manage to keep grass alive.
My mom and dad come out this week to visit so we're excited for that. They get here Thursday (I'm pretty sure...) and then Friday we head over to Normandy. Ryan has been brushing up on his French.
