Of course you don't get to see the house yet. Are you crazy? It'll take us a week to finish cleaning up! But what you do get to see is our pile of trash that we are throwing out of here. This doesn't include several bags in progress. We are definitely working full time and more on getting this house clean enough to live in. On the bright side, this morning the landlady dropped by to apologize again on her way out of town and she said that we can leave whenever we want with one month notice. So we have low rent and a month to month agreement. Not bad in the end.

holy garbage dump, batman! i can't believe you have to clean all that out but a dvd player and other free stuff is a nice plus. :)
What a nasty welcome to cheery ol' England. Don't get down in the dumps though.(;) I'm sure it was tough to see such a mess when you arrived tired from your trek. My latest home was the dirtiest I ever moved into too, with much to throw out, but like you I did wind up with some usuable things. Hang in there. It's bound to get better!! Ta-ta
Cue Nelson voice: "Haha".
Or should that be queue now that you're in England?
